i am Kelly

I am the younger brother in this thing, Kelly Ryan. I've been playing video games all my life and have dabbled for some time in a variety of gaming mediums. I live in Northwest Florida and have been happily married since '07. Fortunately, my wife fully supports and shares my love for gaming and geeky things.

I try to get to every gaming or anime convention in the area that I can afford to go to. This past October, my wife, a couple friends, and I drove 11 hours to Austin, TX for Steve Jackson Games's 30th anniversary celebration. I've met many voice actors, such as Steve Downes (Master Chief from Halo), T.C. Carson (Kratos from God of War), Charles Martinet (Super Mario), and many voice actors in anime.

In 2009, my wife and I hit the convention circuit as the Prinny Rights Movement.  If you don't know what a Prinny is, look into the Disgaea series of Strategy RPGs. It's one of my favorite series of games.

I am into a variety of things, but mostly gaming. My current console of choice is a PS3 Slim (as much as I liked my old 60 gig with backwards compatibility, the portability of the Slim is very nice). I also own a PS2 Slim, PSP 2000, Nintendo Wii and DS lite.

On top of video games, I also really enjoy card games and board games, of the Munchkin and Call of Cthulhu: Arkham Horror sort.

Recently I began to dabble with Dungeons and Dragons. It's very new to me, and I'm still feeling my way around, but it's been a lot of fun. Definitely something I will continue to do.

Ever since Toonami aired Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo (props if you know what I am talking about), I've been into anime. As I've grown older, I've become convinced that there is a lot of crappy anime out there, but when there is a good series, it's usually a really good series.

I'm not big into tech toys. I use a basic LG clamshell that makes calls and sends texts very well. I spend too much money and games and anime to afford fancy phones.

I use an old 30 gig Zune. Holy crap, it's over 3 years old and still works perfectly. How's your iPod holding up...?

I run Windows 7 on an MSI laptop. I don't have any fancy software.
I don't do Apple products, and you will find no love for them here, if I hadn't given that away already.

I have cable internet, and see no need for a TV subscription. I do all of my "TV" viewing on Hulu, Netflix, and Crunchy Roll. I just wish my cable company would understand that.
