Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!

What is easily one of my favorite games is in so many ways one of the worst games. The very things that I like about this game are the same things that a lot of people will not like about it.

But if you manage to fit into the niche of gamers that this game is made for, you will love it. Trust me.

Retrospective: Burnout Paradise City

I've got a lot of games in my collection that I haven't finished or performed what is necessary to get to the 'end' of the game's main goal (i.e. successfully navigated Mario through the path a least resistance from Yoshi's House to Bowser's Castle and defeat Bowser in Super Mario World). There are even more games in my collection that I have yet to complete (i.e. unlock all 96 exits in Super Mario World). I even have games that I've obtained recently that I have yet to even place in the console.

Critical View

I wrote this for and posted this on my personal blog, which you can find a link to on the left. After having written it, I decided that it also had a place here, as well.

I read reviews. I read reviews written by critics. I read reviews written by friends. For a while, I even considered writing my own reviews. I decided against this for a few reasons but only one really sticks out. I don't want to experience everything in life with a critical eye or ear.

Sometime while I was in college I began to lose something. That something was the ability to just enjoy a work. My audio class taught me not to just listen to music but to break it down piece by piece and analyze it. My video classes taught me to pay attention to things like framing and art direction. The skills I had learned from those classes began to spill into other aspects of my life, mainly the way I experience a video game.

Dead Nation

I've been playing quite a bit of this game lately, and for good reason. One, I like twin stick shooters. Two, I like zombies. And three, I really like killing zombies.
